Mommy & Baby Craft Time
Today, we made “helping hands, high-fives, and following in your footsteps” clay art for the moms/dads for Mother's Day or Father’s Day gifts. It’s one of a kind, unique & cool gift for papa. DIY BAKE CLAY HANDPRINT/FOOTPRINT MATERIALS:
Sculpey Oven Bake Clay
Sharp knife
Heart shape cookie cutter (optional)
Wooden Stamps (optional)
Mix up Sculpey Oven Bake Clay (ready to go clay).
INSTRUCTIONS:
Flatten your clay until it’s about 1cm thick.
Press your baby's hand into the clay (firmly-by pressing your hand with baby’s hand).
Carefully cut around the handprint with a sharp knife.
OTHER OPTIONS:
HEART FRAME
Flatten your clay until it’s about 1cm thick.Press your baby's hand into the clay(firmly-by pressing your hand with baby’s hand).Carefully cut around the handprint with a sharp knife.
Then cut a heart shape inside of the handprint using a heart cookie cutter.
BAKE INSTRUCTIONS
Bake clay at 275 degress for 10 minutes. Once Dry.
You can paint your clay or just seal your creation.
We used mod podge all in one glue and seale
Glue a small photograph behind the heart cut out. You might want to glue on a picture hook if you want to hang your photo frames up or add a strong magnet if you want them to go on your fridge.
HANDPRINT BOWL TRAY
Soften and smoothen the edges fo the hand.
Then place clay in a small sauce dish to hold the bowl shape.
BAKE INSTRUCTIONS Bake clay at 275 degress for 10 minutes. Once Dry. You can paint your clay or just seal your creation. We used mod podge all in one glue and sealer.
