My 7-year-old and I painted the background piece together, layered with my own interpretations and stories about the border — stories of struggle, and resilience. I grew up in a farm town, where contactados/trabajadores worked the land and made it beautiful. That memory lives in my brushstrokes. Using colors left over from past projects was a challenge, but also a reminder: art doesn’t waste — it transforms. This piece is for them, for us, for all who carry these stories across borders. 🎨🌻

Hello everyone, and welcome!
First I want to say thank you for coming. It’s truly wonderful to see everyone gathered here. We’re united by a powerful call: Friendship Is Power—the guiding mission of Friends Across Borders, it’s a global initiative celebrating connection, empathy, and nonviolent action.
Today—August 16,—we come together not only to craft beautiful yellow paper flowers but to plant seeds of friendship between /across borders. Whether you're making your own flower or bringing one to share, you’re joining a vibrant global movement of solidarity and hope

Screenprinting: Design and print posters, shirts, and tote bags with the Friendship Is Power message.
Buttons: Produce and distribute friendship-themed buttons for people to wear and gift.
