Happy New Year! 2021!

No resolution this year (for me). I read somewhere that you are just setting yourself up and creating false expectations because most of us don’t follow through -so don’t do it! Just wish for a healthier and happier life. Take it day by day! Happy 2021!

Mickey Mouse Shaker:

Use the mouse outline template (below) to create this shaker. You can find the template below through Etsy and using the code (available below) for the free SVG download. Once that is done, and you have all 3 pieces cutout for this project.

Instructions:

Cutout all the pieces with your Cricut Machine
Use the outline mouse piece for the top layer
Use the full mickey mouse for the bottom layer.
Use a plastic pocket (not on template) to create the shaker part in the middle. Run it through your sticker maker from Xyron for a clear and clean look. Stick the clear pocket onto the bottom layer (full mouse cutout). Then use your double sided foam, Xyron Mega Runner to create an adhesive outline around the edge but leaving a small opening to add the confetti. Then use your double sided foam, Xyron Mega Runner to sticker the top mouse outline.
Use the full mouse cutout to cut around the plastic pocket. I used PaperHouse Florida Mixed Card Pack as in insert and also cut around so everything fits inside the mouse outline.

Disney Castle Caketopper:

Use the same outline template to create the cake topper. You can find the template below through Etsy and using the code for the free SVG download. The file includes a castle with the outline, 2021 numbers, and mouse firework.

Instructions:

Cutout all the pieces with your Cricut Machine
Run the castle cutout through your Xyron Creative Station (double sided adhesive)
Cutout circles or any shape to go around the 2021
Use a clear overlay/plastic to add the firework cutouts. I used my Xyron Sticker Maker and ran through my firework cutouts to get that clear and clean look. Once everything is put together use the clear plastic to hold everything together. (watch IG video to see what I'm talking about)
Hot glue a stick on the back for a cake topper or use for New Year decor.
